Window & Door Design
Add decoration bars to glass
What this does
Adds glazing bars — Georgian, colonial or lattice patterns — inside a glass panel, so the drawing, the price and the shop paperwork all agree on a decorative element that is easy to forget.
Steps
Important
Decoration bars belong to the glass panel, not to the frame. A bar added to one sash does not repeat across the others — set them per panel, and check the drawing before sending the quotation.
-
01
Open the design and select the glass panel to decorate.
-
02
Choose the bar pattern.
-
03
Set the divisions — how many horizontal and vertical bars.
-
04
Set the bar profile and finish to match the frame.
-
05
Save, then Analyze Design.
-
06
Check that each bar appears with its own length and Bar Serial in the analysis.
Common mistakes
- Showing bars on the customer's drawing that never reached the analysis, so the factory builds plain glass.
- Decorating the fixed light and forgetting the matching sash, so the elevation looks wrong once installed.
- Choosing a bar finish that does not match the frame powder coat.
