Two surveys, deliberately not the same thing
- A pre-quote survey starts empty — the surveyor adds openings as they find them
- A production survey is populated from the confirmed order and refuses to start without lines
- Each has its own numbering, its own report, its own approval, its own mobile app
- A production survey can be seeded from the pre-quote instead of from scratch
Measured against quoted, with a tolerance that bites
- Quoted width, height, area and quantity beside the measured ones, per opening
- Width, height, area and quantity differences, and a pass/fail per item
- A survey outside the configured tolerance goes to a manager instead of to the saw
- The surveyor is warned on site, before they drive away
The survey happens on a phone, and the phone is often offline
- A portal login, not an ERP seat
- Bluetooth laser meters — Leica DISTO, Bosch GLM, Stanley TLM and generic BLE
- Photos per opening, GPS on start and finish, and a signature with the signer's capacity
- Saves queue on the handset and replay in order when the signal comes back
- A tappable elevation drawing to move between openings
A production design that never touches the signed order
- The survey line carries its own drawing, independent of the one the customer signed
- Editing it re-runs the take-off against the measured sizes
- The original stays visible beside it, so the change is reviewable
The numbers on the wall
The Technical control tower: completion rate, open requests, surveys done against surveys booked, workload by person, and requests by type. Survey reporting adds surveyor performance and monthly statistics as pivots.
